Hi! My name is Chin Tung, and I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'm a recent journalism graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I had two minors: film studies and English. My passion for journalism is fueled by my desire to hold the people in power accountable and give voice to the voiceless. I believe journalism dies the day we fail to listen to what our community has to say.

 

My dream job is to do something like what the people behind "Humans of New York" and "Great Big Story" are doing. I am an endlessly curious person who is interested in engaging and informing diverse audiences. I want to listen to what everyone has to say and explore every corner of the universe. ​

 

Watching my favorite films will always be the most effective way to reignite my will to live. Cinema, to me, is an ephemeral but powerful reminder that things are going to be all right. Every story that needs to be told will be told in its own time. All we can do, as tiny human beings, is to take a deep breath and carry on. As the great Ian Malcolm once said, "Life finds a way."
